Credential Direct launches mobile site
Wednesday, September 14, 2011
Today Credential Direct announced the launch of their new mobile site that allows online traders to quickly and easily access their trading accounts from their favourite mobile devices. The site is optimized for all the latest platforms on Apple, Android and Blackberry smart phones, and can be accessed as safely and securely as Credential Direct’s online trading platform.
The new Credential Direct mobile site is an extension of the firm’s comprehensive investment trading site (credentialdirect.com), ranked Canada’s top online brokerage six times since 2004.
“Credential Direct Mobile is a whole new way for users to connect to their portfolio on-the-go,” said Credential Direct’s Chief Executive Officer, Doce Tomic.
The new site offers traders a mobile view into world markets and the ability to get detailed real-time quotes and alerts, place trades, and follow their portfolio and transactions all from the palm of their hand. It also features multiple layers of security to keep investors protected while trading online.
“Credential Direct Mobile truly gives traders the opportunity to take advantage of rapidly changing markets with up-to-the-second information,” added Tomic. “Not only does it offer great functionality, it features thoughtfully developed mobile navigation, making surfing the site intuitive and fast.
“With such a compelling and competitive service, there is no reason for all our customers not to start enjoying the convenience and flexibility of using their smart phones to follow the markets and trade on Credential Direct now.”
Credential Direct Mobile is among the first mobile trading platforms to launch in Canada. Credential Direct was founded in 2000 by Canada’s credit union system and is a division of Credential Securities, which is a Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF) member. At Credential Direct, there are no lofty account or trade minimums or hidden fees — just low, flat fees for everyone. You do not need to be a member of a credit union to open an account.
